5 Tips for a Successful NAMA Show

17 Apr 5 Tips for a Successful NAMA Show

Are you planning to attend the NAMA Show in Las Vegas this year? Taking place from April 24th – 26th at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the NAMA show is a great place to learn valuable operational lessons, meet technology suppliers, and mingle with fellow operators. Here are some useful tips that will help you get the most out of your experience!

1. Build a Plan before the Show

The NAMA Show consists of three days. You should plan out these days in advance to maximize what you can accomplish during the show. Research companies you want to meet with, and contact them to setup meetings ahead of time. Schedule when you’ll have your meals. The more you plan out your time at the show, the more you can accomplish.

2. Make Yourself Comfortable

You’re going to be on your feet and moving around a lot during the show. You don’t want to walk into a meeting only to be distracted by aches and pains. So dress professionally, but comfortably! The right pair of shoes can make all the difference on how much you enjoy the show.

3. Network, Network, Network

The NAMA Show is a great opportunity to meet with many different companies and their representatives face to face. Use this time to talk with the people you may end up working with in the future. Pass out business cards, take down contact information, connect with people on LinkedIn! The more connections you make, the better off you’ll be.

4. Take Notes and Bring Home Learning Material

There are many different educational sessions you can attend during the show. NAMA provides you a workbook you can use to better follow along with these sessions. So pay close attention, write down what you’ve learned, and take learning materials back with you. You’ll appreciate the effort when you review at home.

5. Follow Up after the Show

At the end of the show, you’ll have met great product and service suppliers, networked with fellow operators, and gained a wealth of knowledge. But, the value of the NAMA show doesn’t end when the convention hall closes. Follow-up with the contacts you’ve met at the show. This keeps the conversation going and helps you and your company benefit long after the show has ended.

Follow these tips, and you’ll get the most out of your time at the NAMA Show. We can’t wait to see you there!
