San Antonio, Tx, February 1st, 2021 Parlevel has released Cater – a checkout solution that enables campus and restaurant food providers to create a convenient ordering experience for their customers. Cater consists of a self-checkout kiosk for easy ordering, a mobile app for purchasing on the go and order ahead, a Kitchen Display System (KDS) that helps staff efficiently tackle orders, and an insightful campus dashboard to help managers make informed decisions. Through Cater, operators can better serve customers, boost sales, and simplify operations.

Cater’s self-checkout kiosk uses an intuitive touchscreen that displays menus of all food and beverage providers in a location. From the kiosk, customers can select an item through the touchscreen, or they can scan a product barcode for easy grab and go. Once items have been ordered, an RFID badge reader allows for rapid login to their personal account to pay via preloaded funds. Or, a customer can pay through a versatile payment terminal. The payment is confirmed through physical or virtual receipt.

Customers can also order through the Cater mobile app. Using the app, customers can see the cafeteria offerings on their phone, select items, check prices, customize orders, pay, and schedule a pickup time. Upon order completion, the Cater app will let customers know when their order is ready for pick up at the counter.

Cater also provides operational benefits for food and beverage providers. The kiosk and mobile app allow operators to combat labor shortages, while powerful management tools help speed up orders, upsell, and increase location revenue. An easy-to-use meal modifier dashboard pitches add-ons to end-users, while an engaging and attractive menu display highlights popular items – helping operators to sell more while serving customers better.

Cater’s Kitchen Display System (KDS) helps kitchen staff manage and fulfill orders more efficiently. Managers can monitor orders via smart timer, easily prioritize orders, and measure overall staff performance – helping to get items out quickly and effectively. Cater’s campus manager dashboard provides access to analytics and reports to help providers check sales, identify trends, and see daily deposits.

“The Cater kiosk is such a pleasure to work with, and I’m excited to share it with the people in our industry,” said Chris Stave, director of business development at Parlevel Systems. “The resident ability to service multiple cafe concepts with various ownerships in the same food court is unique. Plus, the Cater mobile app is a tool that can allow many dining spots to open much sooner because of the no contact purchase option. Combined with our micro markets and industry-leading Vending Management System, Cater gives operators flexibility with their business. I look forward to helping operators find success with this new product.”

Cater is available for purchase immediately and joins Parlevel’s suite of products and services designed to help the unattended retail industry. Powered by the Parlevel VMS, Cater can be managed side-by-side with vending, micro market, or office coffee business lines. Cater is backed by Parlevel’s 7-day-a-week customer support network available via chat, phone, or email. Remote installation assistance and device training are available to help operators get onboard with Cater quickly and effectively.
